-----The two running creatures begin returning hurriedly from the distance and at least two more large forms follow them from out in the plain.
-----Sol winces as he directs his sight at the closest of the large forms. "Now we're talking." He grates at the as of yet unidentified creature. The Lathanian blade hisses as it leaves its leather housing and the Gorian then springs at the foe, whispering all the while.
-----Raven looks back to make sure Rinda is fine. Raven then shifts his gaze to their attackers. Raven draws both swords and says in low growl, "That was a mistake." Raven breaks into a run to backup Sol.
-----Sarah hears Sol's whispering and knows that Sol is probably going to run down the creatures that hit him...so she has no chance of seeing to his wound until she takes them out. She raises her hand and blasts magical energy at the fleeing figure.
-----Sol and Raven charge the two nearest creatures just as they stoop down to retrieve something off the ground between them. As they rise, they bring up something in their hands that lies flat on the ground like a blanket.
-----Raven lashes in with one sword, which bites deeply beneath one of the humanoid's rib cage. With a roaring growl, its pain is angrily announced. The ranger quickly follows with a left jab, but fails to connect.
-----Sol swings in at the other monster but the creature jumps back in time to avoid the Lathanian weapon.
-----Just then both creatures lunge forward toward Raven and Sol bringing up the netting that the two hold. Luckily both adventurers roll to the side causing the opponents to miss in their advance.
-----Shema, the silent guard, races forward to meet one of the approaching creatures. The woman warrior slices in with her long sword drawing a pained grunt and blood from her opponent. The huge creature then lowers a club-like mace heavily on Shema's upper arm. Though she never emits a sound, the grimace she wears reveals the damage done.
-----With the moon now hidden behind the clouds, the accursed humanoids are now little more than flickering shadows revealed by the low fire from the camp. However, the dark forms are not hidden long from the magically enhanced vision of the Lord Wizard's daughter. Three golden missiles fire from her elegant and poised hand briefly lighting the small battlefield in their brilliance. They strike the big furry thing standing opposite the young Gorian warrior staggering the monster.
-----Rinda stands facing the fighting with her head up and arms out. In a curiously savage tone, she begins reciting a ritualistic phrase.
-----Abram stands next to the young mage and fends off another advancing creature. The guard's sword swoops and strikes only empty air as the humanoid anticipates his move. Abram's eye on his scarred side widens as he strains to parry a quick return from the monster's mace.
-----A creature rushes Garrison and widely misses the woodsman as Garrison sidesteps the evil one. Garrison brings his battleaxe into the goblinoid's gut almost knocking it over.
-----Bradley quickly moves to back up Shema and finds a humanoid there to face him. The blond-haired guard lunges in with an almost foolhardy attempt and strikes the tall enemy in the chest muscle. So startling is the move to the opponent, that in trying to hit Bradley in turn, the creature's weapon not only misses but falls from the creature's grasp.
-----Romney, standing on the other side of Sarah, finds himself suddenly faced with two of the creatures. The guard gallantly draws the attention of one of them from the mage and the creature misses him. His sword cuts through the air but does little except to cause the creature to back away. The second creature likewise misses him. Romney then calls out, but finds Abram is already preoccupied as well as Shema and Bradley.
-----His call, however, is answered. A loud high-pitched throaty roar echoes from behind him where a moment ago, the form of the Huntress of Thales stood. Now there stands the large muscular form of a beautiful but dangerous feline creature.
-----Raven rushes in behind the nearest creature that tried to snare them in the net. Raven snarls as he tries to drive both swords through its back.
-----"Thanks love." Sol calls as he tries to cut down the creature that Sarah slammed with the three bolts of magic.
-----"Anytime darling!" Sarah calls back.
-----Sol immediately throws his weight into his swings. Hefting his weapon in a quick X pattern, he slashes across and strikes his enemy twice. The large humanoid growls out in pain but hangs onto the netting it holds. Just as the young warrior steps back to begin his next move, the hairy creature throws out the netting causing it to land atop Sol and its weigh momentarily tangles the Gorian within it.
