-----Summing up, Sol says, "I reckon we should leave the prisoners tied up in the hall, with maybe one o' us t'guard 'em. Maybe even Albert could watch over them, an' warn Seth if one 'o' them did make it past. The rest of us take them down in the courtyard."
-----Lastly, as an afterthought, Sol turns to Kazel and nods in acceptance, "I know ye can handle yerself. I've seen just that. I guess I just thought that if they see ye and recognize ye, that they might focus on ye." Though he wants to say more, the warrior speaks no further.
-----The Dread Pirate nods his head at several of the suggestions the others make, "Aye, I understand what yer sayin about usin the prisoners as decoys and placin 'em in a tower, but I don't think the powers o' evil would give a rats arse about savin 'em. I think the only use they'd have fer 'em would be to try to distract us or harry us from the rear while we're already engaged in combat. If they be up in a tower, I don't think our visitors would even bother to spit on 'em if they were on fire. These aren't nice folk we're dealin with. I also admit to bein slightly apprehensive about fightin 'em in the open courtyard. From what I understand, these spellflingers might not even be usin the front gates to get in here. They might be comin over the wall like we did, or gettin in some other way that we can't see. In any case, I seriously doubt that we'd have a chance of seein 'em coming if we're out in the open like that. If we're all inside here, then we know they are limited to one route to get in. Unless they can chew through stone walls."
-----The Dread Pirate stalks around the keep's floor, eyeing the doors, "Arrr, I could also rig up a trap that'd spike the first person walkin in the door. It'd help if we put down a layer 'o straw around the entrance to cover it up though. I really can't emphasize enough how little I want to fight a group of wizards that can come at us from any direction unexpectedly if we're outside. We need better battlefield control than that. I'll also rig up an acid trap fer that window up there, so if'n anythin tried to come through there, it'll get nice and fried." The Dread Pirate rummages through his pack, emerging with a couple iron spikes and a container of what must be acid.
-----"If'n I have the time, I'll rig up a couple more spike traps here and outside, but it'll take some time to make 'em. We'll also need to come up with a plan fer those prisoners. I admit I can't think of one, but if we leave 'em alive, they can shout out a warning to our foes. Or they can be freed and used against us. They might not be the best fighters in the world, but if they were to hit us at the right time, it'd be disastrous fer us. And whose to say, but these visitors tonight might be able to bring in additional help. We could end up simply overwhelmed by sheer numbers if those prisoners got loose. If nobody else can come up with a plan by dusk, then I'll kill 'em meself, just out of expediency." Unless anyone else has anything to say, the Dread Pirate begins manufacturing and placing his traps.
-----At Seth's look, the Dread Pirate grins, "Aye, if only we had the brave Sir Slappy with us. Nobody'd have a chance against a puissant knight like him. Now I don't want to kill the prisoners, if there were a better way I'd happily take it. But they're a huge risk to us. Besides, what do ye think'll happen to 'em when the authorities get ahold of 'em. They'll be hung fer sure. Anyways, I'll leave me rope out by the wall, if we're routed then someone might escape to it and get away to form a rescue party. Don't worry about me though, I have me own way of gettin out of here, if worse comes worst. At least I should be able to escape, Joren willin."
-----Sol continues the debate, "I also think that the enemy probably won't bother with the prisoners. I still can't bring myself to agree wi' ye about staying inside this keep though. All this talk o' escape if things don't work out will be meaningless if we're stuck inside this place. At least in the courtyard, those that need to can take other ways out. Especially if we leave the rope down th' wall like Seth suggested."
-----"With a balance of people inside and out, we should be able to cover all possibilities." With that, Sol exhales and compromises, "What say ye all? I mean, everyone has to be as comfortable as possible with the plan we choose. Though, I don't feel right about it, I'm still willing t'give Dread's a go. And you all?"
-----Sarah nods at Dread. "I totally agree, if we can't fit the prisoners in somehow we have to kill them. It’s times like this that some lives are very precious and others are meaningless."
-----Sarah sighs and begins pulling her hair back into a ponytail. "So we stay and defend the keep, traps on the door and window. Good, I'm gonna be on the roof then, in that case so I can cast down at them. But what about the horses? If I were trying to limit someone’s mobility I'd take out their mode of transportation. I don't want Marlexana to even get scratched so if no one has any better ideas I'll try to get her inside the keep."
-----Sol looks exasperated as he says, "But won't being on th' roof..." He then buries his face in his hands momentarily, before raising them in capitulation and offers, "I'm just going t'go put th' horses in the stable. They won't want t'come in here." Sol leaves the keep to do just that.
