-----"Right, because if someone was looking for our horses they would never look in the stable. That makes perfect sense, thanks Sol. Actually, I think me and Marlexana will be in the courtyard." Sarah says. "We'll get to the roof, don't worry."
-----Seth likewise nods at Sol and then frowns with concern when Sarah mentions being on the roof. He then turns toward the Dread Pirate and says, "I’ll put my talents in your hands, Dread. Just tell me where you want that grease spell at."
-----Just as Sol starts to leave to retrieve the horses, Seth adds, "I wonder if we could hide in here but up off the floor a bit. I’ve got this spell that releases a nice stinking cloud. Suppose if the followers were to enter and the prisoners were left on the floor as decoys. Just before they realize what’s going on, I hit them with it. I’m been wanting to try out those skunk cabbage leaves I got in Proat."
-----The Dread Pirate pauses in his trap building for a moment and grins at Sarah's sarcastic comments to Sol, he then looks momentarily confused, "Arrrr, yer goin to take yer horse up on the roof with ye? Ummm, ok. That's fine with me, but don't you think you'll be makin yerself a pretty obvious target? The silhouette of a horse on the top of a building might draw some attention from our attackers. Not to mention that the rest of us won't be able to get up there to help ye. Or yer horse." The Dread Pirate shrugs and goes back to trap building.
-----"We'll see." Sarah says, thoughtfully. "Hopefully I won't even have to go up there, but ya never know."
-----"Well, I, for one, hope you don’t go out on the roof. How about you position yourself by one of the upper windows?" Seth asks Sarah.
-----When Sol returns from outside, Seth asks him, "Should I help Dread make his traps or should I spend the rest of the day keeping Woder company? I have Albert keeping an eye on him."
-----"Ehh. How bout I don't?" Sarah says before walking away from Seth.
-----The Dread Pirate begins placing one trap on the doorway, so that anyone entering will get an iron spike through their midsection. He also coats the tip of the spike in his paralytic poison. He then builds another trap inside the window with the acid. He then kills the prisoners and drag a couple of their corpses over to the bedrolls against the far wall from the entrance. He builds one last trap in the same area and covers it with loose equipment and blankets. He fills a basket with poison-coated caltrops that are attached to a spring mechanism, so that anyone moving one of the corpses in the bedrolls will get a faceful of flying caltrops. The basket is large enough so that the dispersal of caltrops will be nice and wide, covering as large an area as possible. He then slices off sections of the dead prisoner's leather armor and thoroughly pads the inside and outside of his boots with a couple layers of leather, sacrificing a degree of stealth if necessary, in order to be able to scamper across the caltrops unscathed. When all this is done, he secretes himself in the shadows against the far wall and patiently waits for the festivities.
-----Rubbing his chin, the Dread Pirate hastily goes outside and fetches his fancy new black longsword and places it by one of the corpses in the bedrolls, trying to make it a more tempting target to disturb. The Dread Pirate also points out the caltrop trap and the other traps to the others, just in case they don't know where they are going to be located. He also points out the general area where he will be located so the other don't hit him with any nasty web or cloud spells. Other than that, he doesn't seem to be too concerned with any sort of plan, "Arrrr, all plans go to hades once the battle starts."
-----Sarah then suggests to the Dread Pirate that he kill Woder.
-----The Dread Pirate squints his eyes disgustedly at Sarah's suggestion, "Arrr, yer hands be too clean to do yer own dirty work? Ye think I enjoy this wanton cruelty and killin the helpless? If I could see any other way out of this situation, I'd take it in a heartbeat. I don't need ye addin to the blood already on me hands, standin around, sayin, 'Oooh, Dread why don't ye kill him too.' As far as I'm concerned, Woder is Seth's responsibility. If ye want him dead, do it yerself, he's not my prisoner."
-----As soon as Dread makes a move to set up the trap on the front door, Sol grabs his armour and weapons and steps outside. Whilst the pirate is rigging the trap, Sol puts his armour and surcoat back on, and says rather mechanically, "I'll stay hidden till the battle starts. Someone should be on this side in case it's Raven who gets here first. That and...well...I guess I need to be out here." Once he's finished buckling on his baldric and swordbelt, he nods to Dread and begins to look around for a spot to stay out of sight.
-----Seth looks at Sarah and the Dread Pirate, "He is not my prisoner. I did what I did on behalf of Sarah. If either of you feel the need to be bloodthirsty, go right ahead. I won't stop you." He moves over and watches Dread's work and quietly asks him. "Where do you think the best place for grease traps will be? I think I could manage three tonight."
