-----Gimplefwick quickly recovers his rope after Kazel finishes her climb, he then motions her away from the edge of the roof and tells her, "There is a tremendously nasty human woman down there. She killed one of the town watchmen with one punch and then came after me. She is all dressed up in studded leather armor and waving a sword about. She has a limp now, but this still seemed like a better place to be than down there. I think she has a lot of hostility issues she needs to work out. I don't know where Seth is either. I came scrambling out of the inn and he was gone. His little bird is still about though, so he must be alright, wherever he is."
-----Gimplefwick then glances at Kazel, "How did things go upstairs?"
-----"Oh... I thought you were about to torch the alley as you promised. I was following that woman. And she did not kill the guard; she knocked him out." Kazel lies down over the edge of the roof and peers down at the woman. "So what were you and Seth up to? I found out where room 5 is - the woman came out from there and there were more people inside, so I think it's best to spy from the outside, or the room next door."
-----The two thieves can see the woman looking around the alley. She then moves off limping and climbs the fence, enclosing the back lot of the inn.
-----Suddenly, Kazel and Gimplefwick hear a pecking again and they turn and see Seth’s crow looking over the edge of the roof. It quickly takes wing, dropping down along the side of the building.
-----Gimplefwick seems much relieved when the human woman moves back to the inn, he then says to Kazel, "I don't know what happened to Seth. He was supposed to wait for me outside the inn, but when I came out, he was gone. I hadn't planned on the burning as I don't have any oil on me right now. If we knew where Seth was, we could have tried to take that woman out. We could whittle their forces down, bit by bit. Perhaps his bird is leading us to him." Gimplefwick then moves over to where the bird hopped off the roof and peers downwards.
-----"Seth's rope is still on the window," Kazel points in the direction of the room Seth was looking at, as she follows Gimplefwick and the crow. "What were you looking for in the inn, anyway?"
-----Gimplefwick shrugs and replies, "Well, actually, if you must know, Seth and I were concerned when you headed up the stairs that we wouldn't be able to hear you if you needed help, so I went in to provide backup. We thought that I would blend in better, what with Seth having that big, ungainly crow on his shoulder. Maybe he just headed back to the guild. But just in case..." Gimplefwick discreetly heads over towards the roof’s edge, trying to move in the shadows towards where Seth's rope is located. He then begins climbing down the rope.
-----Just as Gimplefwick lowers himself over the roof’s edge, he eases himself in front of the window that Seth climbed into earlier. Just as he starts to descend, he hears a cawing that comes from the open window. Startled, the Dread Pirate looks at the window and sees Seth and the crow staring at him from inside the room. Kazel looks over the edge of the roof to see what is going on.
-----Seth opens the window and helps Gimplefwick into the room. He then waits for Kazel and helps her in.
-----"Well, lucky you two showed up. I have located Room number 5, shall we go?"
-----"What's your plan?" Kazel says as she lightly lands in the room. "Last I checked, there was someone else in there, not to mention the woman who might be limping back just now."
-----Seth looks over Kazel and Gimplefwick. "Are either of you hurt? No, I do not have any plan. I just did not know if you had located the room yet."
-----Gimplefwick looks about the room in bemusement, "Arrr, so this be where ye went. I wondered where ye were while I was gettin chased by that vicious human wench. So, anyway, how many enemy are in Room 5? I don't like the thought of takin on a crew of bloodthirsty assassins who are all as armored and beweaponed as that human trollop. She was nasty enough by herself. I'm thinkin we should call for reinforcements. Either that or we go and get some oil and try my plan for burning the landlubbers. Especially that wench. She'd probably go well deep fried in oil." Gimplefwick smacks his lips and gazes off into space.
-----Seth smiles at Gimplefwick's suggestion. "Is it the same woman that Kazel killed last night?" He stares out the window and then replies to the Dread Pirate. "I have not checked out how many people are in room 5 yet, so how did the women recognize you, Dread Pirate?"
-----"Na," Kazel replies as she looks and pokes around in the empty room. "But she was one of those five who slaughtered the wagon on the country road." She then tries to listen in on other rooms through the walls, then leans outside the window and looks over in the direction of Room 5. "We can try to look in from outside the window now that we know which room it is..."
