-----Kazel leads them to the right at the end of the block. As they turn, they see a side street that angles to their left and on the corner of that block is a small tavern. They carefully cross over the street moving out of the way of people, wagons and horses.
-----The tavern is housed in a small building measuring about 30 feet by 20 feet. The sign over the door shows a picture with two elegant-looking doors. This is in contrast to the establishment, which hints as nothing elegant on the outside.
-----The three enter the door, which is located at one end of the building. Inside, by the door, a comfortable fire burns from a stone fireplace. Benches are set into two of the walls and two more are positioned toward the middle of the floor. The bar is located at the opposite side of the room. Even though, there are no tables in the tavern, about a dozen people sit comfortably on the benches talking and laughing.
-----Kazel walks up to the bar and a bartender of average height looks up at her. Sporting a balding pate and shaven face, his expression shows one of recognition. His beefy hands set down the mug and towel that he was working with.
-----His eyes brighten and he smiles widely as he says, "Kazel, how are you?!"
-----As they pass over to the bar, someone in the tavern loudly emotes, "Look! A traveling show must be in town!" This comment is met with some laughter from the other patrons.
-----Gimplefwick snorts and chuckles at the three laughing men in the tavern, "Aye, a traveling show indeed." Looking pointedly at the three, he continues, "I see the fools have already arrived and announced their presence."
-----The men chuckle loudly and then turn away from the small pirate. They continue to talk and drink amongst themselves.
-----Kazel looks at the men briefly but otherwise walks unconcerned up to the bar. "Just the rowdy bunch around here," she comments before turning to the bartender as he greets her.
-----"Well as can be, Brad. I see business' good as ever for you," she says with a hint of envy in her voice. "How'd you do it and with no tables?"
-----She then turns to Seth and Gimplefwick. "This here's my old friend, Braddok. And these are some new friends I met over at the bakery, Sethenales - and the Dread Pirate Gimplefwick." she says looking back at Brad, waiting for what she said to sink in. She seems quite at home as she leans casually on the bar.
-----While waiting for Kasel to return from talking to the barkeep, Seth gazes and smiles upon a young woman in the corner and talks to Gimplefwick sideways. "You know, Dread, that last remark about the traveling show could give us a chance to put on a travelling sea shanty show. I am sure I could learn the tunes to your song. We should discuss this with Kazel as she obviously knows the people here, and she would be the one doing the crowd."
-----After Kazel returns, Sethanales smiles at Kazel and says, "Hmm Kazel, you seem to know the people in this tavern? Who is that lovely girl sitting over there on her own?"
-----Kazel looks over at the girl Seth is ogling at. "Hmmph. Can't say I've seen her before. Suppose she might be new in from the countryside, or she's not as sweet as she looks." She raises an eyebrow at Braddok and sees if he has anything to say.
-----Gimplefwick nods at Seth's suggestion, "Aye, a good sea chanty wouldn't be amiss, now would it? Unfortunately, me good pirate name has been impugned by yon landlubbers. I could never look me parrot in the eye again if I didn't keelhaul at least one of those scurvy dogs. No one laughs at The Dread Pirate Gimplefwick and gets away with it. Well, at least not very often."
-----Gimplefwick looks at both Seth and Kazel seriously and states, "This is how I earn me way. By taking vengeance on those who scorn me. Ahem. I also take their purses, but that's beside the point. When those scalawags leave this place, I'll follow one of 'em, learn his route of travel and then rush ahead of 'em by way of another street or alley. Then I'll hide in a corner and wait for 'em to pass. When he does pass, I'll sneak out behind him and stab him in the crotch. Then I liberate his purse from him while he lays there sobbing and moaning. After that experience, few ever laugh at The Dread Pirate Gimplefwick WispyBeard." Gimplefwick speaks with authority, as though this is something that he has had the occasion to practice before.
-----"But there are three of them and but one of me. This might call for a group effort if'n they don't split up. Normally, I'd summon me crew, but they're all on....umm..leave. I hates to ask ye on such short notice, but it may be that I could use yer help." The minuscule pirate gazes imploringly at Seth and Kazel.
-----Sethanales looks a bit of colour at Gimplefwick’s suggestion. "Mmm yeah umm Yeah I could follow them, anyway and um when you had stabbed all three and tied them up, I’d, umm, help,.umm, Hey!!!! That won’t work Dread. They will recognize you and they would give your description to the Guard. It would only work unless you either killed them dead or ran like the wind to the next town."
