-----Kazel blinks at the current topic of discussion, looking a bit taken aback. "Yea, Dread Pirate, you make picking at the marketplace sounding better already. There're better ways of getting 24 crowns." She then quickly adds, "no scorn or offense intended, 'course."
-----Seth is encouraged by Kazel's equal reluctance to use the Dread method of stealing. Seth sends another smile over to the girl while waiting for Braddok's comment.
-----He turns back to Gimplefwick and Kasel. "Whatever we decide you must know this is my first day in town. All I have with me is in my backpack. I left in a hurry and was not able to bring all of my instruments, so some of the things I am good at. I do not have the required tools. Maybe one of you has a set I could use? Also there are things in my pack that I would want to leave somewhere very safe so as not to weigh me down while working. They are not valuable, but are special to me. I hope I may prevail on one of you to provide a place of storage for me."
-----Braddok walks over to the bench where the three are sitting. He holds his hand out to Seth and Gimplefwick in a warrior’s handshake. "I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to talk to you before. You are Sethenales? And you are the Dread Pirate Gimplefwick? I’m glad you came here with Kazel today. Any friend of hers is welcome here anytime. May I get you something to drink or perhaps something to eat?"
-----When they ask him about the girl, Brad replies, "Oh, that’s Dora May. Yes, a sweet girl. Kind of on the dippy side. Her father has a shop nearby that sells flowers. Can I introduce you?" he asks, looking at the three.
-----Sethanales greets Brad back, "Thank you for your hospitality, Braddok. My New Dear Friend Dread Gimplefwick is buying us something to eat so as it’s his treat, I’ll let him choose for us." Seth now glances sideways at Dora May. "Umm, just what do you mean by dippy? I’m sure nothing bad! We have some business to discuss right now, but I’m sure we would all like to meet her later on."
-----Answering Seth’s question, Braddok says, "By dippy, I mean she is a bit naïve." He then takes the order for food and drinks from Gimplefwick and leaves the three to talk over their business.
-----Seth now looks at Kazel and slowly speaks some strange words that the others in the room may or may not understand.
-----Kazel looks at Seth, blinks once, then gives a short reply in similarly strange words.
-----She seems to be in thought for a moment as she lets down her raven hair, adjusts it a bit and reties it with the cord that was holding her short ponytail up.
-----"If you really must, you may leave your things at my place, if they're not anything 'hot'. But you might want to ask Brad first. He's always here so it would be safer, and you can always get to them, if he's awake and willing to let you store them, of course. As for 'tools', I don't have any myself..." she glances at Gimplefwick to see if he has any response.
-----"If you don't mind telling, what's your story that led you here to this town?" she asks turning back to Seth.
-----While they talk, one of the three men who laughed at Gimplefwick stands up. He appears to be a thin youthful man wearing clean and fine-looking clothing. His brown hair looks to be cut and maintained well. At his belt is a very nice looking hand axe. He gathers his light blue cloak about him.
-----Looking at his two companions, he says, "It’s time for me ta get back to me shop. Don’ be drinkin’ the kegs dry!" This comment is met with drunken laughter from the men who stay seated. He then turns and heads toward the door.
-----As he leaves, another man enters the tavern. Wearing the clothing of a laborer, this man has a very imposing look about him. His eyes seem to be a piercing steel-blue color and his hair is curly black. Below his mouth, his square jaw is set firmly. He walks on up to the bar.
-----Seth speaks some more strange words. He turns to Dread Gimplefwick, "Sorry, my Dread friend, we are not trying to be rude, only listen to some words from our past, If you understand, please join us in the Fair tongue".
-----At Kazel's offer Seth smiles and seems very relieved, "Thank you Kazel, no they are not hot, just a book and my Harp. Items dear to my heart, but best left behind when stealth is required."
-----Seth looks back at Gimplefwick, "Yes, my Dread friend, I do hope you have some "tools". Well I guess if no one has tools we might have to do the tavern thing."
-----Seth seems to concentrate now...he then turns to the group with a half grin.
-----"Oh okay, I’ll tell you how I got here. Well, not so long ago, I lived in a small house on the edge of a forest, not far from a small town. My father was human and my mother was Elf.
